Laboratory Execution System (LES)
Guided laboratory execution, from method definition to approved result.
Demonstration application. Functional and built with AppMaker, but not a finished, validated or production-ready laboratory system. It is a starting point that we adapt for each laboratory.
Chapters
The screencast shows a fictional laboratory, “Meridian”, receiving test assignments from a LIMS through a clearly marked, simulated adapter. Methods, samples, people and readings are invented sample data, and instrument readings are simulated.

Adapting it to your laboratory
An accelerator for laboratories that need structured method execution, digital worksheets and workflow management. Typical adaptations include:
- Your methods, step types and calculation rules
- Instrument connections in place of simulated readings
- Integration with your LIMS for assignments and results
- Your review, approval and deviation workflows
- Report layouts and the data your quality system needs to retain
Turning a demonstration into a system your laboratory relies on involves the same work as any laboratory software project: requirements, configuration around your data, integrations, testing, and validation where your quality system requires it. Starting from working software simply shortens the path.
